FAQ
Straight answers. If we wouldn't say it to a friend, we won't put it on the page.
What is the reset?
It's going down to one jar with five ingredients, so you can finally tell what your skin actually thinks of it. No ten-step system, no mystery blends. Five ingredients you can read in one breath — judge them for yourself.
Can I subscribe and save?
Yes. Subscribe & Save gives you 10% off every delivery, every 30 or 60 days. Pause, skip, or cancel anytime from your account. The discount is automatic once you pick Subscribe & Save on the product page.
Is Pinecrest Reset really just beef tallow?
No — and that's the point. It's a whipped tallow cream made from water, 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef tallow, honey, avocado oil, and vitamin D3, in that order, printed right on the label. Five ingredients, every one of them a food. The tallow does the locking-in; the honey pulls moisture in; the avocado oil carries it deeper; the D3 nourishes. Moisture in. Moisture locked.
What does it smell like?
The tallow gives it a mild, natural scent from the fat itself. We don't add fragrance to mask it. If you want a scented product, this isn't your product. If you want a short ingredient list, it might be.
Will it break me out?
We can't promise it won't — anyone who does is guessing. Tallow is a rich, occlusive fat. If you have active acne, oily or breakout-prone skin, or a history of clogged pores, this probably isn't for you. For everyone else: patch test first — a small amount on your inner arm or jawline for a few days — before your full face.
Who is this NOT for?
People with active acne, oily or breakout-prone skin, or a history of clogged pores. People who want scented or medicated skincare. People looking for a multi-step system — we have one product, and that's deliberate. If your skin needs something we don't offer, we'll tell you.
How do I use it?
As a last step. After cleansing (and moisturizing, if you use one), warm a small amount between your fingertips and press it onto your face, neck, or anywhere your skin feels dry. A little goes a long way. Patch test first.
Why is there water in a tallow cream?
That's what makes it a whipped cream instead of a slab of grease — the water, whipped in, gives it the light spreadable texture. It's also why you close the jar after use.
Why honey?
Honey is a natural humectant — it draws moisture from the air and binds it to your skin, the same mechanism as hyaluronic acid. Nature figured it out first.
Why vitamin D3?
The same form of vitamin D your skin makes from sunlight — the one most of us don't get enough of. It's the nourishment step of the cycle.
Is it really 100% grass-fed?
Yes — grass-fed and grass-finished means the cattle stayed on pasture for their whole lives, and it's printed on the label. It's the question worth asking any tallow brand.
